Pic of the Month: May
BRING ON THE CLONES Frankly, choosing the film of the month for May was a bit of a toss-up, given that Spider-Man also opens in the US this month. But, in the end, it had to be Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones - because of the two years of hype (and 20 years of expectations) that preceded it; because of George Lucas’ commitment to digital filming; and because… well, because how often does a new Star Wars pic come along?

Pic of the Month: June
BLOWING IN THE WIND Again, quite a list of contenders for the title: The Bourne Identity, The Sum of All Fears, Scooby-Doo and
Minority Report all have early-summer US openings this month. But we’ve picked John Woo’s Windtalkers, about how the US armed forces used Navajo radio operators to transmit messages in their native tongue - a virtually unbreakable code - during the war in the Pacific. It stars Nicolas Cage as a Marine who acted as a liaison with the
confused young native Americans.
